Since September 2022, the Ukraine Action Summit convenes biannually in Washington, DC. The Summit allows congressional constituents from all states to meet with their elected representatives and senators, and also includes networking events for organizations that support Ukraine. As a member of the American Coalition for Ukraine, Nova Ukraine is pleased to announce the fourth Summit, slated for April 13-16, 2024. This year, amidst our continued efforts, we are particularly encouraged by the significant representation from the California delegation, demonstrating broad and diverse support for Ukraine that spans from coast to coast.
At the last gathering (October 22-24, 2023), over 450 participants from 34 states advocated for Ukraine in 220 congressional meetings and discussed the current situation in Ukraine in three days of expert panel sessions. Networking opportunities extended to dinners and a lively closing reception at Ukraine House. During this time, Summit participants forged vital connections and new friendships. Amidst singing the national anthem, we unveiled the world’s largest Ukrainian flag on the National Mall, requiring over 100 people. The message in America’s capital was resoundingly clear: Ukrainian victory is essential for all. These over 450 advocates, representing the voice of many, expressed our gratitude for the American people’s support through funding, military, and refugee assistance, and reinforced the crucial message that continued support for Ukraine is indispensable for maintaining global security and ensuring sustainable peace.
