Police and EMS Respond to One-Car Crash with Injuries – Easton Courier

The Easton Police Department began to receive multiple 911 calls on June 4 around 8:36 p.m. reporting a one-car motor vehicle accident north of the intersection of Route 59 and Hayes Street.

Easton police, firefighters and EMS arrived at the scene and found a car that had rolled over, ejecting the unrestrained driver into the wooded area on the southbound shoulder, according to a press release issued by Police Chief Richard Doyle.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and sustained serious injuries that required treatment and transport by EMS to a local hospital, police said.

Route 59 was closed in both directions while the rescue, investigation and clean up took place. Traffic in the area was rerouted for approximately two hours.
