New Officer Joins Easton Police Department  – Easton Courier

The Easton Police Department has hired a town resident as its newest officer.

Easton Police Commission Chairman Richard Colangelo swore in Anthony Caruso on March 11. Caruso replaces Police Officer Luis Rodriguez who resigned earlier this year.

Caruso, 32, brings a wealth of experience to the department, having served for seven years with the Bridgeport Police Department.

“In Bridgeport, I responded to a high-call volume with a lot of different types of calls,” said Caruso.

Caruso was born and raised in Easton and is excited to serve the town. Those who remember him growing up in Easton and as a school student are also happy to address him as Officer Caruso.

“It’s been amazing,” said Caruso, who is married with a small daughter. “Everyone has been so welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for better fit.”
