WASHINGTON, DC – Greg Bertelsen, CEO of the Climate Leadership Council, issued the following statement welcoming introduction of the bipartisan Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage Tax Credit Amendments Act of 2021:
“This legislation demonstrates the power of bipartisanship to make progress on reducing emissions. Climate change is a difficult challenge that requires both parties to work together on long-term solutions. Carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies hold considerable promise as part of our decarbonized future. This legislation is another important step towards solving this problem together.”
The Climate Leadership Council represents a diverse coalition of businesses, environmental, and opinion leaders to advance the carbon dividends climate solution as the most cost-effective, equitable, and politically-viable climate solution.
