Climate Leadership Council Statement on Passage of Energy Reform Legislation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Greg Bertelsen, CEO of the Climate Leadership Council, issued the following statement on passage of energy reform legislation approved as part of the omnibus funding measure:

“This legislation is a significant bipartisan achievement that will increase investments in promising low-carbon technologies and reduce some of the most potent greenhouse gas emissions. Bipartisan climate policy has strong support among voters in both parties.

We congratulate Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R., Alaska) and Joe Manchin (D, W. Va) for their leadership on this important legislation. Their hard work forging consensus across the aisle is a harbinger of the collaboration we will need to achieve a bipartisan breakthrough on climate.”
