Global Peace Summit 2024 – Nova Ukraine

“A platform of inspiration for the future peace process”

Ending long-running wars requires coordinated international efforts. With this in mind, the Global Peace Summit will take place on June 15-16, 2024 in the Bürgenstock resort, near Lake Lucerne in central Switzerland. The summit aims to develop a path toward a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, with over 90 national delegations confirmed. Ukraine will present its 10-point peace formula, emphasizing justice and ending the war.

russia, pushing for Ukraine’s surrender and continued control of occupied territories, is excluded from the summit. Representatives from 82 countries participated in thematic peace talks in Davos in January 2024, showing global interest in Ukraine’s proposal. The peace formula highlights long-lasting peace, accountability, and recovery, asserting that Russia must withdraw and pay for the damages.

“[…] there were attempts to freeze the war […] But Putin is a predator who is not satisfied with frozen products.” – Volodymyr Zelensky

The Peace Summit aims to secure peace in Ukraine and worldwide. It’s about repairing the devastating impacts caused by russia and charting a path toward rebuilding Ukraine. For the global community, it shows that aggressors should not be allowed to dictate the terms of peace settlements.

The Peace Summit will address issues that affect everyone, not just Ukraine, highlighting how the war endangers the entire global community. There are three main priorities for the summit: (1) nuclear security, (2) food security, and (3) the return of Ukrainian children kidnapped by russia from occupied territories.

  1. Nuclear Security: russia’s occupation of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant in the Zaporizhzhia region has heightened the threat of a nuclear disaster.
  2. Food Security: Food instability, which is closely tied to political and economic instability in many countries, could be mitigated by Ukraine’s grain exports.
  3. Return of Kidnapped Children: Ukraine is not only suffering the loss of lives but also the abduction of its future generation. russia has taken around 700,000 Ukrainian children, as even russia admits.

The summit underscores the necessity of addressing these issues to restore global stability and security. Ukraine continues to rally global support to end the war *justly* and mitigate its consequences. The summit is an opportunity to recognize the global consequences of the war and take action.

“And to overcome this evil, to overcome the war, we need the maximum unity of the world. We achieve the results together”
–  Volodymyr Zelensky

The Peace Summit rallies global support for Ukraine, highlighting the global consequences of the war. This forum urges leaders to recognize these impacts and take action. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine requires meaningful contributions to end it and mitigate its effects. We call on others to join this critical mission.

Support from close allies, including the US, is essential. On June 3, 2024, the White House announced that Vice President Kamala Harris and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will join Ukraine’s effort to discuss peace.

Nova Ukraine continues to support Ukraine’s fight for liberty through various projects and initiatives, emphasizing the importance of international solidarity and advocacy efforts.
