I hope to have earned the trust and vote of Easton residents for re-election based on my leadership and legislative success. My approach is characterized by independent and thoughtful decision-making. I evaluate each issue with an open mind, prioritizing the best interests of my constituents above partisan politics. I am passionately committed to representing our community, continuously supporting and actively engaging with constituents at personal, local and organizational events. My genuine and constant engagement with our community involves listening, collaborating, and finding common ground. I will always listen to my constituents’ concerns and passionately advocate on their behalf.
Statement
With over 20 years of community, town, and state leadership experience, I have established trusted relationships that enable me to navigate complex legislative processes effectively. My track record of building partnerships across party lines has resulted in successful initiatives and achievements benefiting Easton.
I advocate for a responsive, transparent, and accountable government. My collaborative leadership is demonstrated through a record of accomplishments and successful solutions.
I sustained full phase-in funding for K-12 and fought for special education funding, and I am a recognized leader in social media privacy and protection, especially for school-age children. I played a leadership role in open space preservation and the protection of Connecticut waterways, streams, and reservoir safety and led efforts to protect open spaces and watersheds from high-density housing.
I secured $396,000 in bonding for the rehabilitation of Easton’s Volunteer EMS facility, and $16,806 for police body camera equipment to enhance public safety, fairness and transparency. I worked with local farmers to declare Easton as the Christmas Tree Capital of Connecticut, enhancing farming visibility, sustainability, and civic pride.
I fought to rein in public utility cost increases and monopoly arrogance by demanding transparency and accountability through the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.
